The Rural Community Development Practitioner Curriculum
The Rural Community Development Practitioner (RCDP) curriculum is based on materials developed by Okanagan College educators in Canada with direct input from West African institutions, agencies and educators who provided West African case studies and general curriculum information.

Community Development Foundations (CDF) is considered to be general animator training and is designed as the first module which creates a foundation for the remaining 3 modules in the RCDP diploma.

These last 3 modules are respectively: Human Relations and Development, Economics and Development, and Management and Development. The RCDP diploma program is designed for individuals working with, or who wish to work with, rural West African adults in such areas as community development, literacy, health, vocational instruction, and life skills training.
