The Canadian International
Development Association (CIDA), the International Youth Internship
Project (IYIP), and WARD
|
Mr.
Alpha Jallow, WARD Program Director, talks about the contributions of
Canadian interns:
'The CIDA International
Youth Internship Program is contributing immensely towards the
effective management of development projects for three organizations in
The Gambia namely the Agency for Development of Women and Children
(ADWAC), Njawara Agricultural Training Centre (NATC) and the West
African Rural Development (WARD) project.
Interns are bringing general administrative and organizational skills
that help sensitize stakeholders and mobilize resources to support on
going work and project activities.
I hereby acknowledge and endorse the CIDA IYIP programme as a
unique and rewarding experience. By virtue of the success registered
and my experience as Internship Supervisor and IYIP in country support
personnel I highly recommend this program and urge both government and
non-government organizations to apply.'
