Institute (GTTI) and WARD
The WARD Centre is currently located on the GTTI campus, where the local coordinator and the rest of the WARD staff work. GTTI is primarily responsible for recruiting facilitators, the local coordinator, and regional participants.

Because of its position as one of the consortium of institutions developing the new university, its reputation in the region as a progressive and stable institution, and the high regard of the Gambian government for the institution, GTTI is playing a pivotal role in the success of the project.
GTTI has special responsibilities for representing WARD to the Gambian government and maintaining relations and communications with the emerging university administration. As well, GTTI is maintaining excellent relations with the Rural Development Institute, regional NGO's, government agencies and institutions, and regional media.
