| Because
this is an experiential, interactive curriculum, course and
participant evaluation will vary somewhat from more traditional
courses.
Course
evaluation forms
are distributed in each course. These forms are used by facilitators to
solicit feedback on both course content and the process used in the
presentation of the content as well as the effectiveness of the
facilitator. The idea is to model the need for soliciting feedback and
using that information to improve our teaching, a key concept in adult
education.
Participant
evaluation is based on the following:
Due to the nature of the courses, attendance, punctuality, and
participation are emphasized. The timely completion of assignments is
also of importance.
Participation
is
defined as one's willingness to contribute to discussions, to take part
in role plays, and to actively involve oneself in group tasks.
Course
Assignments will consist of daily journal writings, specific
reading and writing assignments, and modular/course assignments.
Facilitation
is
defined as the preparation and delivery of presentations to the group,
one's planning and organizational abilities, one's use of instructional
techniques, and one's communication and facilitation skills displayed
during mini-workshops.
Transcripts
for each
module are issued and available upon request. As this process takes
time, we ask that you give us adequate notice of your request so as to
avoid sending a late transcript to whomever requires it.
A diploma
will be issued to you (by GTTI but also endorsed by OUC) for those
having completed all modules.
